Dnata-PWC Fuel Surcharge Overview

Due to the development of fuel prices in the last fifteen months, DPAL introduces a fuel surcharge for the United Arab Emirates routes, effective May 01, 2011.

Fuel Surcharge Mechanism:

The new fuel surcharge mechanism effective May 01, 2011 will be based on the average price of fuel in UAE markets and will be applied from the 1st of following month when the fuel price reaches a different level.

DPAL has stipulated procedures for implementing, increasing, reducing or withdrawing a fuel surcharge. This mechanism is based on a fuel price index (based on a four years average).

Charging Method:

1. The fuel Surcharge in AED will be charged as per table below, referring to weight or to used pallet positions.

8,001 to 12,000 kg	03 Positions
12,001 kg & above	04 Positions

2. The Fuel Surcharge is applicable to all U.A.E routes.

3. The amount of the Fuel Surcharge per Index is described in Annex 1 (PDF Document).

Implementation:

DPAL will give a minimum of 30 days notice to implement the surcharge, meanwhile DPAL will be absorbing the difference between the previous and the new fuel prices.
